2010: My Year In Photos

Today’s Reverb10 prompt is from Patti Digh:

5 minutes.

Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010.

I set my timer for 5 minutes and scrolled through all the photos I’ve uploaded to my blog in 2010, picking out the ones that mean the most to me. If I were to truly lose my memory of 2010, and I had 5 minutes to gather some sort of keepsake from the year, these photos would tell me a lot.

The photos of my grandparents from that afternoon in my Babcia’s kitchen listening to old stories. Photos from gigs, recordings. Photos of great memorable meals.  The best ramen ever. A sketch of Ali in the hospital. Trying on Superman suits in New York and Nashville. Bowling in St. Catharines. Watching the Twilight Zone on the bus.

(Most of these photos are by Ali Eisner. The one with me and Mr. Lightfoot is by James Dean. A few of them are mine. The last photo of Ali and the puppet is by Tanja Tiziana.)

Nice post, Christine! Funny how the only way we know we’re moving forward is by looking back.
