My upcoming album, Hearts and Galaxies, opens with a piece called “28 Known Galaxies.” This piece was inspired by that beautiful sequence in the original Superman movie where we travel through the galaxies from Krypton to Earth, experiencing a condensed version of Kal-El’s journey in the pod in which he learned many things, including “the total accumulation of all knowledge spanning the 28 known galaxies.”
