planetarium
After 2 weeks on the road, Ali came to LA to hang out with me during my 3 days off. We went up to the Griffith Observatory, paid a small fee, and sat underneath the stars in the planetarium. Reclining in my seat, I felt like I was 6 years years old.
In the midst of a long tour, away from all my familiar surroundings, I felt so small – in the best way – like a tiny tiny spec in the universe. Humbled.

I agree that there’s nothing more humbling than star-gazing — a reminder of your size in the universe. Enjoyed this post. Thanks for sharing.
A few years ago I went to the planetarium at North Georgia College and State University from time to time. They had shows every Friday night when the campus is open. If the weather permitted, they opened the observatory down the street and some of us would migrate over there. The skies are pretty dark in the north Georgia mountains, so it made for better viewing. Very peaceful. Once some of us even saw what might have been a shooting star–blink and you would have missed it.
As far as I know, the planetarium still does shows on Friday nights. One of these days I need to get my butt back over there.
