the tranzac

How can I choose any other place but the lovely Tranzac?   Dafydd Hughes and I have been playing our music there every Monday night for the past 2 years, and we are booked to play every Monday until the end of time.

It feels like home.

Someday I’ll write a longer post about this place – the people, the music, the history -but I’ve got to get to soundcheck now at the Rivoli.  So I’ll leave you with these 2 things:

1) this loving tribute to the Tranzac by my friend Josh Van Tassel

2) a photo of Ronley Teper’s Lipliners at the Tranzac.  Our CD release party was one of the best nights I’ve ever had there.  Totally magical.  This picture is precious to me…“tranzac public school – class of 2009″
