I met Gretchen Peters and Barry Walsh when we toured western Canada together a couple years ago. I was playing with Sylvia Tyson, but since it was a sort of songwriters-in-the-round type of thing (also with Ron Hynes), I got to play along with them, too. Immediately I knew that these were my people. You know when you meet your people.
Ali and I were honoured to be invited to their wedding here in Nashville, and I have to say it was the best wedding I’ve ever been to.
