Hall & Oates Night at The Tranzac

Hall & Oates night at The Tranzac was a success!  Thanks to everyone who came out and publicly displayed their love of these two brilliant men.

Dafydd and I were so lucky to have Roger Travassos on drums, Chris Banks on bass, and Bryden Baird on trumpet for this special occasion.

Some highlights from the night:

The ending of “She’s Gone.” You can hear Joanne Mackell take the lead from the back of the room at the big break… “she’s gooooooooooooooone woah I…”

Another good sing-along was “Every Time You Go Away.” We tried to reference the Paul Young version, too.

Bryden supplied the tuxedo shirts and bow ties for all of us.  Dafydd looked particularly dapper.

    Thanks for sharing this, Christine. I particularly love the smooth version of Rich Girl.

    You probably already know the “Yacht Rock” podcast, but just in case you don’t… check out the Hall & Oates episode at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLFrzkTHP18 where H&O go head-to-head in a songwriting competition with Michael McDonald and Kenny Loggins… fun!

    @marcus – I love Yacht Rock. Haven’t seen it in a while…must watch again.

    @tim – it’s true! it’s the posture and the beards….and the suits! …and it’s highly possible that we’ll all still be playing the tranzac at that time.

    @deltaslide – I agree. Ali is amazing. I’m so lucky to have my own personal photographer!
