Amy Millan’s Masters Of The Burial is officially released!

We had a lot of fun making this record, and I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

And now…we tour!  This week we’re doing a couple TV appearances: today we’ll be playing MTV live, and then tomorrow we’ll be doing Canada AM in the early early morning.

what it’s like to play with amy

First of all, I’m guaranteed to laugh until I cry at least once a day when we’re on tour or recording. Laughing = top priority.   Musically, it’s a dream gig.  The tunes are beautiful, and Amy is just the best at what she does.  I learn a lot from just listening to and watching her perform.  And the food.  Oh – I might just have to devote an entire page to the food I get to eat when I tour with Amy.

Dan and Marc…

The band is amazing – full of good friends who happen to be some of the best musicians I know.  They are:  Darcy Yates (bass), Dan Whiteley (mandolin, guitar) and Doug Tielli (trombone, guitar, banjo, and angelic backing vocals).

And there are a few other awesome players on the album…like… Dean Stone, Marc Roy, Jenny Whiteley, Leslie Feist,  Evan Cranley, Jesse Zubot… and a bunch of others, too.
