The Arsonists was written in post-war Germany by Max Frisch. It’s a dark comedy that deals with some big questions about good and evil – about how evil can be growing right under our noses when we don’t want to believe it can be happening.
In this Canadian Stage production of the play, Justin Rutledge has composed music based on the Chorus sections of the play’s text. In addition to playing the Chorus Leader, he plays a Policeman and the “Doctor of Philosophy”
Sly Juhas is playing drums. I’m playing bass and guitar.
We’re 11 days into rehearsals and it’s all coming together under the direction of Morris Panych.
The play runs November 11-December 9th at The Bluma Appel Theatre in Toronto.
