It’s December 1st again. This time last year and the year before I committed to a blog challenge. In 2009 it was called Best of 09, and in 2010 it was called Reverb10. There were daily writing prompts for the month of December and a community sharing responses to those prompts every day.
My 2010 responses are listed here.
My 2009 responses are listed here.
So now it’s one year later. There is no formal “Reverb11” challenge happening, but the creators of Reverb10 have encouraged people to create and share their own prompts. Do I want to post something every day this month? I really don’t know. I might. I might not.
This whole past year I’ve been fairly quiet on my blog, just posting once a week, and even sometimes (gasp) posting a day later than scheduled. I have a habit of setting strict goals for myself. I commit easily to challenges. There is a lot of good that comes from this habit, but…I’m interested in what compels me to take on these kinds of challenges. I wonder if it has something to do with fending off uncertainty.
